"We have been working with Kevin and his team on an extensive renovation of our home. We were told that there are very few contractors in the area who would be up to the task of dealing with such a large project but that Prospect Mountain Builders would be ideal for our needs. This indeed proved to be the case. Kevin was very organized in how he approached our multiple projects including a complete kitchen renovation, multiple bathroom renovations, installation of French doors and windows, and a fairly complicated deck repair to name a few. He scheduled excellent, highly competent subcontractors to do the necessary electrical work, tile work, millwork, floor refinishing, etc. When I chose a deck tile that he had never worked with before, he found someone to install it who did a beautiful job. Whenever a problem arose, Kevin and his team were quick to correct the issue. We are grateful to Kevin for keeping us on schedule with the tasks we needed to complete so he could finish the renovations. He has still been on hand and as pleasant and accommodating as always as we complete the final touches. We would highly recommend Kevin and his team for any and all home renovations."
Attic addition
"We can unequivocally recommend working with Kevin Main and Prospect Mountain Builders. Kevin, his crew and his subcontractors were all fantastic to work with. To a man, they were always on-time, highly communicative, and most importantly, on budget. Our project involved the addition of living quarters to an unfinished attic space above our existing bedrooms. Kevin said the project would take 3 months and sure enough, they finished in 3 months on the spot. We lived in the house during a part of the construction and his crew and subcontractors went out of their way to minimize any disturbances to our family while the construction proceeded. Kevin and his team were also left a fair amount of judgment in matching the design of the attic to the rest of the house which they did with great success - not something most people would leave to their GC. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. Their instincts on design challenges were always correct and thoughtfully implemented. Finally, Kevin's stable of subcontractors are second to none: highly skilled, easy to communicate with and all performed exceptional work.. We're looking forward to working with Kevin and his team again on our future projects."

"Our project was to remove an existing old barn and rebuild a barn style two car garage. Kevin was able to design and draw a plan that fit proportionately alongside our historic home that accommodated our storage needs. "Thank-you for the excellent work performed by you and the entire PMB team on our kitchen renovation. It’s said that renovations are more challenging than new construction. Our project was no exception, including replacing nearly 30 feet of exterior wall with a free-standing steel beam to support the second floor and many other technical challenges.
From the start to finish, the PMB crew was professional, courteous, clean and clearly committed to completing our project without delay. The contractors selected by PMB for the tile installation, masonry, flooring, plumbing, electrical/lighting, insulation, taping and painting were all exceptional and well-coordinated with installation of cabinetry, appliances and countertops. We especially appreciated that PMB worked with us on challenging design aspects, including repurposing a large wooden beam from the original kitchen for our fireplace mantle. "Our new kitchen is the second project we have done with Kevin Main and Prospect Mountain Builders. Kevin and his team do impeccable work. The tile man, carpenters, painters, plumbers and electrician all do beautiful work. My friends said I was crazy to have a new kitchen built while I was in China, but Kevin planned everything and when we returned it was 90% complete. While I was gone he sent pictures of the progress and handled any problems that arose. "
Master Bedroom Suite Softly Screams “AHHHHH”
"I moved into my house in 2000. Kevin & PMB crew completely redid my kitchen with custom cabinetry and beams in 2010 (now my second favorite place in the house), and then some custom trim work in my bathroom in 2016 ….. So when I dreamed of my master bedroom suite remodel in 2018 I knew Kevin and PMB were the guys I would trust to transform my master bedroom and boy did they ever. My space was completely gutted. As construction was progressing Kevin brought me to another project of his to look at different trim and door styles. I am a visual gal so it was very important for me to see and feel the potential products prior to install and I also got some great ideas. My Master bedroom suite now has an office with beautiful custom cabinetry and wood work, an amazing walk in closet, a sitting/reading area and sleeping quarters. The PMB custom made gorgeous barn doors for my closet and office space. My floors are now heated and new flooring installed. The detail to all of the trim and the doors are most impressive. My master bedroom suite space has become my absolute favorite spot. It oozes a spa like atmosphere and automatically puts a smile on my face as soon as I walk in. Thank you, Kevin and your faithful, courteous and very clean workers, for making this girls dream come true."

"When we purchased our farm in Litchfield, the property included a one story guest cottage with an attached 2 car garage. We were interested in expanding the first floor apartment to include a second bedroom, a remodeled bathroom, a functional kitchen, and an expanded open living space; in addition, we wanted a second floor that would be light-filled and serve as an art studio. "We recently relocated to Litchfield to a gorgeous 1786 home that needed a new kitchen and other repairs. After chatting up a few of our helpful neighbors, every one of them recommended Prospect Mountain Builders to do the work. I am so glad we listened. Taking on a full kitchen remodel in the middle of winter with four small children at home was a daunting thought, but thanks to Kevin and his entire friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced crew, it went off without a snag. I loved that the crew showed up at the same time every morning, completed the work by mid afternoon, and were there every day like clockwork until the job was complete. We actually missed them when the job was finished! And the kitchen is now the most beautiful part of the home.

"When we bought our new house we already knew that we’d be asking Kevin and his crew to take on some of our renovation projects. We’ve known Kevin for years and have been impressed with his work around town. When you have more than one project the whole process can become daunting and using Kevin made us feel comfortable and more at ease. Kevin or one of his team was always available to walk us through any questions along the way. Kevin is the ultimate contractor! He keeps his worksite neat and tidy. His team was friendly and efficient. The subcontractors were wonderful as well. After several months the whole group felt like family. "Kevin Main and Prospect Mountain Builders did a fantastic job building our barn on time, on budget and with great attention to detail. We wanted to ensure the barn fit into the character of our existing home with a similar look and feel to compliment our house as if it were an extension of our home, not an after-thought. Prospect Mountain Builders built us a beautiful barn -- there is a lower level where we store our patio furniture and lawn equipment, a main level and a loft with a copper topped cupola with solar lighting. They built the barn according to plans, but were also flexible and willing to offer suggestions when we wanted to make some modifications. The entire experience was extremely collaborative and we felt that Kevin and his team really cared about our project. We have received so many compliments on the beauty of our barn from friends, neighbors and family -- we cannot thank Kevin and his team enough and would highly recommend him for other projects."
